Soccer Saturday

Another day another soccer game...

The Jaguars had their work cut out for them today. We don't have an exact score, both teams were scoring quite a bit. Will had another four goals today though... they all played great, especially since they were one man short today and only playing with 5 guys.

Of course all of the action kept Caleb absolutely riveted

Next game is Saturday, 05/03, 2pm @ Hart Field. See you there.

Another field trip...

Another cub scout outing today. we took the boys to the Finch Arboritum. Luckily no rain or snow today, but still cold, spring still does not disappoint :) Everyone had a fun time, lots of running and games. What's not to love?

One the Caleb front; he had a bath tonight. As you may have heard he HATES baths!! I think we are making progress though, no screaming tonight. I wouldn't go so far as to say he enjoyed it but... he did not scream. Baby steps!

TKD test next week

Will took his pre-test today for his next belt in TaeKwonDo. He is testing for his red/black belt. The test is next Wednesday 04/30 @ 6:30. See you there

Please God...MAKE IT STOP!!

this weather is driving me crazy... This is a picture of Caleb, just as we were leaving for our walk this afternoon at 2:45 to pick up Will at school

Isn't this crazy, it was absolutely blizzarding! We should be able to go for a walk without hats and gloves in the middle of April.

Now this is just 25 minutes later when we got back home...

Now as I am writing this, I look outside and it is snowing AGAIN!!! I know spring in Spokane is supposed to be unpredictable, but this is getting ridiculous.

Updates from the Weekend...

Well, Mike went for x-rays on his ankle friday, luckily nothing is broken. Just a very bad sprain. It still looks pretty bad, swelling has gone down some but the bruising has kicked in. they tried to give him crutches to use for a few days, of course he didn't want them, he also has an air splint that he is supposed to be wearing, but he doesn't. He is just going with the ice and advil method... They say it could take 3-4 weeks to heal. I guess his soccer game is out for this week. I wouldn't put it past him to try and play next week though.

Will played soccer again on Saturday in the wind and cold. Luckily the snow didn't start until after the game. (seriously, do we even get a spring this year?) They won... again! Will scored four goals, all of the boys played so great. Their passing was incredible, they play and work really well together. It even looks like soccer when they play now... which is a HUGE improvement. I forgot my camera, so sorry no pictures this week.

Caleb and Max are napping again. I'm not sure what it is about these two? We can't tell if Caleb sleeps better when Max is around, or if it's Caleb that is helping Max out. Either way when these two get together, it's pure nap magic!

Mike's soccer game

Mike had a game tonight. They won 4-2. things were going great until...
2 minutes left in the game and Mike was getting ready to shoot, a guy from the other team kicked him in the ankle. At least I think that's how it happened, I was talking to someone at the time and not really paying attention. :)
The game ended 2 hours ago and I am still trying to convince Mike to go in for some x-rays... Dumb Ass.

Another Cub Scout Trip

Will had another field trip with the cub scouts today.

They received a tour of the newsroom at KXLY and were able to watch a live broadcast of the 5:00 news. Everyone had a great time, meeting the anchors and seeing how the show is produced.

All of the boys were able to play with the green screen and practice their weather forecasts. We (the parents) were all a little nervous about letting eight 7 year old boys sit in and watch a live broadcast (YIKES, the possiblities of what could have gone wrong, those cameras are expensive) BUT... I am happy to report that everyone was awesome!! We could not have asked for any better. Huge sigh of relief when they went off air at 5:30.

Thanks to Kris Krocker for being our tour guide and letting the boys get in some screen time during her weather segment. Watch their segment here.

After KXLY we were off to a Cub Scout pack meeting. the boys earned their bobcat badges and also moved up from tiger scouts to the Wolf level.

They received their new wolf bandanas too. I do have to admit, this cub scout stuff has been pretty fun. the field trips are great and most of the time it's a toss up on who is having the best time, parents or kids...

Just a cute picture

Nothing special to report, I just took this picture of Caleb thought it was really cute...

Great day for soccer

Will had another soccer game this afternoon. The boys played great, as usual. The weather was great, our first really nice day of the year. Will scored 3 goals, another hat trick.

Ladyman...Ladies' Man!

Cub Scout trip

This week Will's cub scout den visited the fire station. The boys had so much fun. The firemen were so cool with the boys. Everyone got to climb through the truck, try on the helmets and ask all kinds of "7 year-old" questions.

First soccer game

The Jaguars had their first soccer game this afternoon. They played great!!

By our count they won 10-2. Of course this is unofficial because they don't actually keep score in this age group. (parents always do though) Will scored 3 goals today, a hat trick!! All of the boys had a great time, the most exciting part to them, Vanilla Wafers and Capri Sun for snacks afterward.

This was Caleb's first soccer game too, as you can see he was absolutely riveted.
