the Ladyman's take Seattle...

We took a trip over the mountains last weekend. Will got a trip to Seattle and a pair of Seahawks tickets for his birthday last month. Mike, Will and I headed out Friday afternoon... Caleb spent a few quality days being spoiled by grandma. We stayed with Grandpa Charlie in Bellevue (thanks again grandpa...) Saturday we visited the Ballard locks and we were able to watch a few boats make the transfer from Lake Washington to the Puget Sound.

Next we headed into Seattle and walked along the waterfront and stopped to have lunch with the seagulls at Ivars

Then it was up the hill to Pike Street Market. We headed into the first and original Starbucks... or as I like to say we made the pilgrimage to Mecca...

We saw a few fish being thrown...

watched the sunset over the sound

and saw a giant shoe museum

Who doesn't love Pike Street?!?

Sunday was the main event... We still haven't decided who was more excited for the game, Mike or Will... here they are just outside of Qwest Field, getting ready to head inside

Will was really excited to meet Mack Strong a former Seahawk... he was at the stadium for a book signing

Here are a few more pics from inside the stadium

Sadly the Seahawks lost 20-17, Will was pretty bummed. He did say later that even though they lost the game it was very fun and it was his best birthday present ever.

All in all a fantastic weekend. We were happy to be home and see Caleb who is still being de-programmed after three days with grandma... updates to follow.

Ghosts and goblins and ninjas and frogs...

Will and Caleb went trick-or-treating friday night. We had a blast. For the first time in a long time the weather was great, no rain and it wasn't freezing out.
We met up with a few few of Will's friends from school and their parents.

Will and the boys made a record haul this year... Something that made the dads pretty happy too.
