He snores no more!!

Anyone who has had Will spend the night at their house knows... Will snores!! Big time! He has always snored since he was a little baby.  Well this summer we noticed a new trend, Sleep Apnea... Not really sure how long this has been going on, I think we only noticed it because he slept 3 feet over our heads while we were camping.  So even though he has never had a problem with tonsil or ear infections... the doc says the tonsils had to go.  He had them out on Friday the 13th... which is actually a lucky day for Will since he was a Friday the 13th baby :)  I think he hardest part was telling him that even though he didn't have to be at the surgery center until noon, he couldn't eat or drink anything after midnight.  We helped this problem out a bit by letting him stay up reeeaallly late the night before (I heard he and Mike playing X-Box at 1:30am) so he slept until 11am, just in time to leave. He still talked about it on the way there, how starving he was... didn't think he could make it :)

Here he is waiting in the pre-op room.  He got to take Edgar into the operating room, so he wasn't alone.  Will's favorite part... the blankets they covered him up with while waiting... they take them from a huge oven-like warming unit. They are soooo warm.  I tried to steal it from him, but he put up a fight.

Just before he walked until the operating room, he was a little scared... poor guy

And a quick 45 minutes later... all smiles again.  Of course the four popsicles he wait while he was there helped out some, that and the codeine of course...

He has done awesome since he came home.  Friday night he felt great, ate lots of popsicles and a bowl of ice cream for dinner, he even ate mashed potaoes when the ice cream just wasn't enough.  Saturday night we went to a football team party at Round Table Pizza... I told him I would bring him something to eat if he wanted.  He said he wanted pizza.... he ate two pieces and said his throat felt fine! So I think he is going to live :) and hopefully not snore...

Another Nap!

I know I have posted pictures of these naps before, but they just make me laugh! I found Caleb and Max sleeping today in the crib. They were like this for almost 2 hours.

Sweeeeet Boots!

Caleb has new boots! Actually he has had them for a long time, I got them as a baby shower gift. They have been patiently waiting for him in the closet until... NOW! last week, I remembered the boots and thought they may be getting close to fitting. I tried them on him and they are still a bit big, but I let him walk around in them. Caleb showed them off to Mike, he was so proud of them. Mike saw the boots and said "He dude, those are really sweet boots!"... that's all it took. Caleb will not take the boots off. Caleb wears these boots proudly EVERY DAY! When someone comments on the boots, he points to them and smiles and says Sweeet.

Apparently the boots are pretty comfy too... just like slippers! He begged Mike not to take them off of him when he went to bed one night. We assumed he would just play with them in his crib until he fell asleep. He slept with them on all night.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO WILL!!!

Can you even believe that Will turned 9 years old this week!! It just seems like it has gone so fast! We took him out last Sunday for a birthday dinner at the Onion. It felt just like old times for Mike and I. Will kept asking us for stories about when we both worked there. I think he wants to make this an annual dinner, especially after he saw the birthday dessert they brought out. Luckily for us it was big enough to share :)

I woke Will up bright and early on his birthday morning, he was sooo excited to see the camera at 8am. He perked up when I brought him french toast with birthday candles.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILL!!!

Snuggle Buddies

Max and Caleb have been napping buddies since Caleb was born. They both just seem to sleep better together... I caught them this morning all curled up, too cute
Everyone says we shouldn't let Max into Caleb's bed but we can't seem to keep him out. He will run into the door to push it open. He always crawls in after Caleb falls asleep and when we see Max in the morning we know Caleb has started to wake up. He's a great alarm clock for us :)

We came ... We saw... We ATE!

The Ladyman's hit the fair last night! This is the last weekend for the Spokane fair so we had to get there before it was too late. The weather was perfect, a little chilly but some sunshine. We had a ton of fun.

Will was thrown in jail...

We ate Corndogs...

We saw all of the animals, these little goats were so cute. Caleb liked the goats, but the cows and horses not so much. I think they were just too big. He didn't like the sheep too much either, I think they were too loud. The goats were just nice and they all let Caleb pet them.

We met Char... the horse :)

I don't rememer this horse's name but she was just so pretty. I had never seen spots on a horse like this.

We ate caramel apples...

Will took a turn on the mechanical bull... hilarious!

I tried to get Mike to try a deep fried Dr Pepper... (apparently they make afritter batter using Dr Pepper, then deep fry it and put it in a cup with some ice cream and more Dr Pepper, sort of a float. Then top it all off with whipped cream) It seemed like something he would eat, he wasn't going for it.

We hit a few rides

We stayed and closed the fair down this year, but not before a few elephant ears!

'Canes vs Raiders

Hurricanes played the Raiders yesterday. Great game, but the boys fell just a bit short. They lost 21-20. everyone played really well and had a fun time, so great day anyway. Will played almost the entire game on both sides... He only sat out about a half dozen plays in the sencond half. Ironman Football. He did really well carring the ball again and he was great again on defense. Their defensive coordinater was very pleased with him today. I sort of forgot to take too many pictures today, the game was so fun to watch, I was busy :)

Will was one of the captains today... here they are to go and meet the Raiders for the coin toss.

Go 'Canes!!

The Hurricane's played last Saturday... FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON!! Hurricanes over the Steelers 18-6. Will played most of the game at running back and middle linebacker. He was AWESOME! A couple of great runs, picked up some good yardage on two 4th downs, broke up a play and almost had an intercept while he was on defense. All of the boys played so great. We were really proud of them. Will is loving his new team, and his new team seems to be loving him :)

Here is one of Will's runs, he ran out of the frame for a second and I was yelling and jumping up and down a bit so... well sorry if you happen to get any motion sickness from watching.

Next game versus the Raiders on Saturday 9am at the Polo Fields in Airway Heights. Be there of be square!

It's a Boy!!

Yippee!! Alicia and Nathan finally had their baby today. I think she was pregnant for about 14 months... or maybe that's just how it felt :)
The new little family checked into Sacred Heart late last night, her water was broken and labor had started. And then we waited... and waited... and waited...

And while we waited, Caleb played

Finally after almost 18 hours of labor and another 3 hours of pushing... he was stuck, and he wasn't coming out, at least not on his own!! Logan Michael was born at 6:30 tonight by c-section. He was 7lbs 3oz and 20" long and so beautiful...

You can see that Nathan is so proud. I think it's pretty safe to say that he is absolutely in love already.

Party at Grandma's house

On Sunday we BBQ'd ribs at Grandma Sandi's house (they were so fabulous by the way) It was a great afternoon so the boys just played in the backyard all day. Caleb may have gotten a little wild and crazy and by the end of the day he was skinny dipping in the dogs' pool!

Will showed off his chiseled physic... could someone please feed this kid a cheeseburger!! Can you tell he ate a HUGE plate of ribs and corn on the cob then topped it off with root beer floats?

Football Saturday

Will and the rest of the Hurricanes played in the Pop Warner football jamboree on Saturday. It was fun, they had 5 fields set up and each team played three 20 minute games. The'Canes are looking pretty tough this year. Well as tough as a bunch of scrawny 8 and 9 year olds can look.
It rained most of the morning, but cleared up just in time for the boys' first game. By the time they finished playing it was sunny and HOT!

of course Caleb had fun too...
