He snores no more!!

Anyone who has had Will spend the night at their house knows... Will snores!! Big time! He has always snored since he was a little baby.  Well this summer we noticed a new trend, Sleep Apnea... Not really sure how long this has been going on, I think we only noticed it because he slept 3 feet over our heads while we were camping.  So even though he has never had a problem with tonsil or ear infections... the doc says the tonsils had to go.  He had them out on Friday the 13th... which is actually a lucky day for Will since he was a Friday the 13th baby :)  I think he hardest part was telling him that even though he didn't have to be at the surgery center until noon, he couldn't eat or drink anything after midnight.  We helped this problem out a bit by letting him stay up reeeaallly late the night before (I heard he and Mike playing X-Box at 1:30am) so he slept until 11am, just in time to leave. He still talked about it on the way there, how starving he was... didn't think he could make it :)

Here he is waiting in the pre-op room.  He got to take Edgar into the operating room, so he wasn't alone.  Will's favorite part... the blankets they covered him up with while waiting... they take them from a huge oven-like warming unit. They are soooo warm.  I tried to steal it from him, but he put up a fight.

Just before he walked until the operating room, he was a little scared... poor guy

And a quick 45 minutes later... all smiles again.  Of course the four popsicles he wait while he was there helped out some, that and the codeine of course...

He has done awesome since he came home.  Friday night he felt great, ate lots of popsicles and a bowl of ice cream for dinner, he even ate mashed potaoes when the ice cream just wasn't enough.  Saturday night we went to a football team party at Round Table Pizza... I told him I would bring him something to eat if he wanted.  He said he wanted pizza.... he ate two pieces and said his throat felt fine! So I think he is going to live :) and hopefully not snore...
